Separate green waste from outdoor materials
Identify leaves, brush and branches separately from detached fence wood or other outdoor debris. Wood with nails, treated materials and mixed debris may need different handling, so photograph the actual contents rather than labeling everything yard waste.
Pickup covers approved material already cut down and on the ground. Tree felling, climbing, stump grinding, fence demolition and pulling buried posts are not standard hauling scope; request a separate service review if those tasks are still needed.
Loose, bundled and bagged loads estimate differently
Give the approximate length, width and height of each pile without compressing it artificially for the photo. Loose branches hold open space between limbs, so a broad brush pile can occupy more truck volume than a similarly sized stack of compact wood.
Bundling manageable branches and using intact bags can make the loading plan clearer, but do not create bundles too heavy to handle safely. State bag count, branch lengths and any substantial log sections so weight and labor are included rather than estimated from the pile outline alone.
Backyard access and storm safety
Send photos of gates, steps and the route from the debris to legal parking. Long backyard carries, narrow gates and loading over uneven ground can change labor even when the debris volume stays the same.
Do not approach branches touching utility lines or unstable hanging limbs; contact the appropriate utility or qualified tree professional first. Storm cleanup hauling applies only to debris that is safe to access, not energized materials, active tree hazards or emergency stabilization work.
Prepare a clean, reviewable pickup area
Keep soil, rocks, wet sod and large root balls separate and request specific approval rather than hiding them beneath brush. Paint/liquids: not included in ordinary mixed-junk loads unless separately approved. Fuels, lawn chemicals and unknown containers also need disclosure before acceptance is considered.
Place approved debris where it does not block shared paths, drains or street access, and identify fence wood with exposed nails. If comparing private pickup with municipal options, check current Coppell rules for eligible yard materials and placement instead of assuming the same requirements apply.
