What above-ground pool removal includes
Steel-wall pools and soft-sided frame pools produce different debris and dismantling requirements. The pool size, corrosion, retained water, and equipment condition affect handling and disposal.
The approved scope identifies what will be dismantled, loaded, and hauled away. Demolition/tear-out is not included in standard junk-removal pricing; it is separately evaluated and quoted.
Prepare the structure and isolate utilities
Have the pool drained and its utilities disconnected before work begins, using an appropriate drainage method for your property. Set aside pool chemicals; draining, chemical handling, and sand or soil removal are not included unless specifically approved.
The customer arranges disconnection of electricity, water, and gas before work, wherever present. The crew does not disconnect utilities; tell us about visible lines and any known concealed services before scheduling.
Access, anchoring, and limits of the work
Measure the narrowest gate and describe steps, slopes, tight turns, and the distance to a usable loading position. In Coppell’s established single-family neighborhoods, backyard layouts and homes built before 2000 can make the removal route worth checking before a visit.
Concrete footers and footings are evaluated separately, including extraction and disposal. Structural work attached to the home is evaluated case by case; only an accepted non-structural scope can proceed, and repairs, replacement construction, grading, and landscaping are not included unless expressly scoped.
Material handling and disposal boundaries
The quoted removal can cover approved materials such as vinyl pool liners, steel pool wall sections, resin pool rails. Material type, debris weight, sharp edges, and the amount of disassembly affect handling and disposal planning.
Paint and liquids are not included in ordinary mixed-junk loads unless separately approved. Flag chemical containers, suspect hazardous materials, and unrelated debris before the visit; do not mix them into the dismantled materials, and do not assume every component can be recycled.
Photos and details for a useful quote
Send photos of the entire pool, wall or frame connections, pump and filter, and the exit route. Show any deck surround and note the pool diameter or length and width.
